Ralph Fiennes on directing the film of Coriolanus

Actor and director Ralph Fiennes has admitted he was "a bit mad" to act in and direct a film version of Shakespeare's Coriolanus.

He was speaking at the UK premiere of his modern-day adaptation of the play at the London Film Festival.

He told the BBC's Lizo Mzimba that Coriolanus was ''a tough story'' which has ''real resonance today.''
