Anna Calvi's 'dangerous' influences

Anna Calvi's debut album was nominated for the Mercury Music Prize and her music has been described as "sumptuous, seductive and a bit scary".

The singer told BBC Breakfast she was "pleasantly surprised" by her success after writing a lot of her first album before she was signed to a record label.

She said she has been influenced by musicians that take risks and artists that can convey danger in their music.

Anna Calvi is currently on a UK tour and her new single, Suzanne and I, is out now.
