Arts funding: 'There is an imbalance'
The Artistic Director of the Bristol Old Vic, Tom Morris, tells the BBC he think it is "right" the bulk of arts funding goes to London but is worried that the imbalance of arts funding to the capital has "got worse".
He says that despite hit shows at his theatre the "business model is incredibly vulnerable".
Central government spending on arts and culture in the capital amounted to £69 per resident in 2012/13, compared with £4.60 per person elsewhere in England, a report has found.
The report was compiled by three arts figures who said they wanted to highlight a "bias" towards London.
