American Hustle director on film's Oscar nods

David O Russell, the director of American Hustle, says he is "humbled" by the film's 10 Oscar nominations.

The film-maker is nominated in the achievement in directing category and the film is also up for best picture.

All four of American Hustle's lead actors, Christian Bale, Amy Adams, Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence have been acknowledged in the acting categories.

Speaking to the BBC News Channel, Russell said it was nice that none of his cast was "left out".
