Ken Stott: Philip Seymour Hoffman was 'compelling'

The film and theatre world is mourning the death of actor Philip Seymour Hoffman at the age of 46.

Police say he apparently died of a drug overdose.

The actor Ken Stott, who became friends with Mr Hoffman while making Charlie Wilson's War, described the actor as "compelling" on Radio 4's Today programme.

He added that Mr Hoffman, who won the best actor Oscar for his 2005 portrayal of writer Truman Capote, "demanded respect".
