How Oscar campaigning got political

When the trophies are handed out at Sunday night's Oscars ceremony they will ostensibly go to those who've displayed excellence in the eyes of the membership of the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences.

But the outcome of some Academy Awards races may possibly be determined by Oscar campaigns.

This year efforts to influence Oscar voters have been intense.
