Jerry Springer: Show is an 'escape from regular life'

Television talk show host Jerry Springer presents a programme that specialises in dysfunctional relationships and sex. His guests sometimes swear and fight.

Speaking to BBC HARDtalk, Mr Spinger denied the programme was manipulative saying that such judgements were elitist, adding the show was about real people's lives.

He said the programme provided an "escape from regular life," adding "for one hour a day our show is about people that act outrageously".
