Mercury Prize 2014: Nominees celebrate awards nod

Bombay Bicycle Club, Kate Tempest and FKA twigs are among the 12 acts celebrating after being nominated for the 2014 Barclaycard Mercury Prize, which recognises the best British or Irish record of the last 12 months.

Blur's Damon Albarn and Royal Blood are among the favourites for the £20,000 prize, which will be handed out on 29 October.

The other nominees are Nick Mulvey, Jungle, East India Youth, Young Fathers, Polar Bear, Anna Calvi and GoGo Penguin.

Speaking after the nominations were announced, some of the acts gave their reaction to being recognised by the judges.
