The day after their wedding in Venice, actor George Clooney and human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, have taken a trip on the city's canals.

The couple smiled and waved as their boat was surrounded by a flotilla carrying photographers and onlookers.

Hollywood stars such as Matt Damon and Bill Murray were among the guests at Saturday's reception.

The wedding was one of the most keenly anticipated showbiz events of the year.
