Madge Bishop returns to Neighbours as soap celebrates 30 years

It has proved to be one of the UK's best-loved Australian imports, and it has launched the careers of global superstars like Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce.

Neighbours celebrates 30 years on our screens on Wednesday 18 March and there is a surprise in store to mark the occasion.

Madge Bishop, played by Anne Charleston, is returning to the soap, despite her character being killed off in 2001.

Speaking alongside Tim Phillipps, who plays Daniel Robinson, Charleston gave BBC Breakfast a clue as to how it was going to happen.
