France's Philippe Gaulier has been teaching people the art of being a clown at his school outside Paris since 1980.

The clown master is much celebrated among actors and comedians, including Sacha Baron Cohen, Simon McBurney and Emma Thompson.

The BBC's Lewis Goodall went to see if France's leading clown "guru" could loosen him up a bit.
