Could Son of Saul film be an Oscar contender?
A Holocaust film submitted by Hungary for the Oscars is gaining critical acclaim - winning awards and picking up end-of-the-year nominations.
While working in one of the crematoriums at Auschwitz-Birkenau, a prisoner discovers the corpse of a boy he takes for his son. He decides to carry out an impossible task: save the child's body from the flames, find a rabbi to recite the mourner's Kaddish and offer the boy a proper burial.
