Eurovision winner Jamala: Song 'not political statement'
Eurovision Song Contest winner Jamala has spoken of her happiness at winning the competition with her song about the deportation of Crimean Tatars by the Soviet Union in 1944.
Asked about its theme, she told the BBC's Victoria Derbyshire: "I don't have any political statement in my song."
"My song really touched Europe - I sing about where I came from," she said.
