Woman's recovery from 'locked-in' syndrome

Kate Allatt was less than 40 years old when she suffered a massive stroke and doctors said she would never walk or talk again.

But the mother of three defied their predictions and two years on she spoke to BBC Breakfast to discuss her remarkable recovery from 'locked-in' syndrome.

Appearing alongside Joe Korner, from the Stroke Association, she said she had some very dark days when faced with the prospect of life in a nursing home.
