'Cutting red tape' will enhance elderly care levels

The care of the elderly is being compromised in UK hospitals because there are too few nurses, according to the Royal College of Nursing.

The Minister for Care Services, Paul Burstow, said measures were in place to cut bureaucracy in order to free up nurses to spend more time with elderly patients.
