Burnham attacks PM for NHS 'spin'

Andy Burnham has accused David Cameron of using spin to distract attention from cuts to the number of nurses in the NHS, but said that he supports plans for more training.

Speaking to the BBC the shadow health secretary said that the prime minister should focus on personnel in order to ensure "every hospital in England has enough staff to provide safe care".

His comments came as the prime minister vowed to focus on better care in hospitals.
