NHS 111: 'Like banging head on wall'

Accident and Emergency departments in England are being urged to make sure they have enough staff to cope with a potentially busy bank holiday weekend.

The College of Emergency Medicine has expressed concern that patients are going straight to hospital after failing to get through to the new NHS 111 helpline.

Howard Wensley told the BBC that his experience of using the 111 helpline felt like "like banging my head on a brick wall".
