New head of Patients Association named as Robert Francis

The man who chaired the public inquiry into the scandal at Mid Staffordshire NHS Trust has been named as the new head of the Patients Association.

Robert Francis's appointment comes as the charity releases a new report highlighting what it calls shocking examples of basic poor care in hospitals and care homes.
