Bariatric surgery : 'Life is easier physically and mentally'

Up to two million people in England could be eligible for weight loss surgery according to a new study.

Nearly 8,000 NHS operations were performed last year and the researchers say that given the benefits of the treatment, many more could be done.

Sharon Bates underwent bariatric surgery a procedure to decrease stomach size and appetite. She says it has made her "life much easier physically as well as mentally".
