Care home standards 'not good enough' says chief inspector

The chief inspector of adult social care in England, Andrea Sutcliffe, has told the BBC that improvements must be made in care in residential homes.

The admission comes as her organisation, the Care Quality Commission, publishes new plans for how it will regulate, inspect and rate homes.

Mrs Sutcliffe said there was to much "awful care" in some establishments.
