HIV now and then: 1982 vs 2014

For the first time, more than 100,000 people are thought to be living with HIV in the UK, according to new figures from Public Health England.

A leading HIV consultant has told the BBC there is a "complete lack of awareness" of the risks among many gay men.

Jonathan Blake was one of the first people in Britain to be diagnosed back in 1982 and 19-year-old Luke Alexander found out last year he had the virus.

BBC Radio 5live got the two men together at the Gay's The Word bookshop in London to talk frankly about their experiences of living with HIV.
