Health scientists' links with sugar industry queried

A row has erupted over links between the sugar industry and scientists who advise the government on obesity.

An investigation by the British Medical Journal claims that a number of research projects by public health scientists on nutrition have been funded by companies such as Coca-Cola, Mars and Nestle. However, scientists insist their work is independent.
