Cold sore virus skin cancer treatment explained

Cancer researchers say a genetically-engineered version of a virus that normally causes cold sores could help to treat skin cancer.

Trial results show the therapy could lengthen survival by years, but only for some melanoma patients.

Professor Richard Marais of Cancer Research UK explained how the treatment would work.
