Jeremy Hunt: '10% more GPs for seven-day week work load'

The government is promising a "new deal" for GPs in England if they sign up to seven-day opening.

Speaking on BBC Breakfast, Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt said he will increase the GP workforce by 10% to deal with the added workload.

Mr Hunt will also offer extra money to encourage trainee doctors to become GPs in areas where there are shortages.
