Stranger brings Christmas cheer to cash-strapped mum by posting £100 through door

A stranger brought some Christmas cheer to a cash-strapped single mother by posting £100 through her door, meaning she can buy gifts for her son.

Claire Rock, 44, who was struggling financially said she "burst into tears" when she discovered the money from a secret Santa.

She told BBC Radio 5 live: "I burst into tears, it was so emotional, it was just perfect timing and I just can’t thank this person enough."
