Covid: Evidence suggests shouting and singing can spread virus
The government's deputy chief medical officer warned closed and crowded spaces may increase coronavirus transmission.
When asked by the BBC's medical correspondent Fergus Walsh if there was scientific evidence that closing bars, pubs and gyms would slow the virus, Prof Jonathan Van-Tam said closed spaces, crowded spaces and close contact all lead to increased virus transmission.
