Covid Christmas: What are the Christmas Covid rules?

A five-day window of special restrictions will be in place this year across the UK to allow people to celebrate Christmas.

The tier system will still need to be adhered to, but the rules have been changed to allow a few households to mix indoors regardless of where in the UK you live.

Some people are critical of the relaxation though saying it will lead to an increase in cases and put too much pressure on the NHS.

The BBC’s health correspondent Laura Foster explains what the Covid-19 rules are this Christmas across the UK and what steps you can take to reduce the risk of coronavirus spreading in your home.
