Covid-19: Risks should be 'taken into account' when offering younger people AZ vaccine
The UK's medicines regulator says that the risks and benefits of the AstraZeneca vaccine are "more finely balanced" in younger people, and should be taken into account when offering them the jab.
Chief Executive of the MHRA Dr June Raine added that the risk of blood clots "remains extremely small".
As a result, under-30s in the UK are to be offered an alternative coronavirus vaccine, if they would prefer.
