Chinese Cultural Revolution model operas from the 1960s and 70s are enjoying a new lease of life in the country.

Eight Chinese operas were a staple of daily life in the time of the Cultural Revolution, but fell out of favour when Chairman Mao died in 1976.

Anna Chen revisits the operas that she first heard as a child in the 1960s and 70s, which had intriguing titles like The White Haired Girl.
