World Cup: US falls in love with football - sorry, soccer

Whatever the result against Germany today, the US has emerged as the pre-eminent English-speaking football nation at this World Cup.

And the team's success has not gone unnoticed back at home, where an estimated 25 million people watched the dramatic 2-2 draw with Portugal.

The BBC spoke to football fans in New York about how the game is being embraced in the US - and how soccer culture in the US differs to that in more-established football countries.
