Why 30 orange cars drove 17,400 miles to Rio
Ralph van Houten took the long way to Brazil, driving 28,000km (17,400 miles) from New York to Rio de Janeiro in a convoy of 30 orange painted cars and motorbikes.
Having driven since March, van Houten said there were multiple challenges for people and equipment, such as passing the Andes mountains at 4,000m of altitude.
The BBC's Franz Strasser went to visit the Dutch campsite near Rio.
