Sunderland autism school's legacy lives on

When the shortage of support for children with autism meant his six-year-old son had to swap home in Sunderland for a specialist centre in Aberdeen, Paul Shattock and a group of parents set up their own residential school.

That was in the 1970s, but its legacy lives on.
