Tiger tale: Phevos prepares for journey to California
A British animal lover who raised thousands of pounds to rescue a tiger from a bankrupt Greek zoo has flown the tiger half way around the world to a sanctuary in California.
Phevos needs veterinary care and the zoo could not look after him properly. Earlier this year another tiger there died of neglect.
David Barnes from Peterborough arranged for Phevos to be flown via London.
The BBC joined him on the journey.
