Russians are wearing helmets in support of Syria bombing

Russians have swung broadly in favour of their country's military action in Syria - despite some initial opposition to it, more than 70% are now in support, according to one recent poll. Now, some Russians are showing support for air strikes by posting pictures of themselves and others wearing headgear, like fighter pilots - while others remain bitterly opposed.

As Syrian President Bashar al-Assad makes a surprise visit to Moscow, BBC Trending looks at the debate happening in Russia under the hashtag "People in helmets".
