Pluto's mountains revealed in image
Nasa has presented much-anticipated images acquired by the New Horizons probe during its historic flyby of Pluto.
The images showed evidence of active geology and mountains up to 11,000ft (3,300m) high, which team members have compared to the Rockies.
Mission scientist John Spencer said the image they had studied in most detail showed no impact craters, which meant it must "be a very young surface".
