Cosmonaut Gennady Padalka: 'Reaching orbit is emotional and intense'
On Tuesday, Tim Peake will become the first British astronaut to fly to the International Space Station (ISS).
He will spend six months on the ISS on his first ever mission.
The man with the record for the most time ever spent in space is Russian Gennady Padalka, who has accumulated a massive 879 days in orbit.
