Driverless cars: BBC finds out how they work

The UK government has announced that driverless cars will be allowed on public roads from January next year.

In addition, ministers ordered a review of the road regulations to provide appropriate guidelines.

Currently, autonomous vehicles are only allowed on private roads, but how do they work?
