Using data to forecast and prevent crime
HunchLab is a system that uses historical crime data as well as various other factors including time and location, in order to forecast where crime might take place.
The statistical analysis also offers advice on the best method of dealing with a crime problem and is being used by several police departments in the USA.
BBC Click spoke to the company's founder and president Robert Cheetham about how the system might be used to tackle crime in the future.
