Doom creator John Carmack honoured with Bafta

The creator of Doom, Wolfenstein 3D and Quake is being honoured with the British Academy's highest honour.

The games developer will receive a Bafta fellowship at the 2016 awards.

Mr Carmack left id Software - the company he founded - in 2013, and now acts as the chief technology officer at Facebook's Oculus virtual reality division.

Ahead of the ceremony he spoke to BBC technology reporter Chris Foxx.
