Cornwall deluge causes 'serious flooding incident'
Some people have been left trapped in their cars and homes in parts of Cornwall as heavy rain and gale-force winds caused flooding and disruption.
St Blazey, St Austell and Lostwithiel are the worst affected areas, where water is several feet deep in some places.
Main roads have been closed, landslides have stopped train services in and out of Cornwall and some schools are shut.
Ben Johnston, flood risk manager for the Environment Agency, described the situation as "a serious flooding incident".
