Theresa May: Control orders to be scrapped

The government has announced its plans to water down the controversial system of control orders for terror suspects who have not been convicted.

Curfews will be replaced by shorter mandatory overnight stays to be monitored by electronic tagging and pre-charge detention will be reduced to 14 days in most cases.
