10-year-old designs Queen's Jubilee emblem

The image likely to grace millions of tea-towels, mugs and posters in 2012 has not been designed by a top artist or illustrator but by a 10-year-old girl.

Katherine Dewar, from Chester, was chosen from 35,000 entries in a nationwide competition run by BBC children's programme Blue Peter to design the Queen's official emblem to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee.
