Julie O'Shea: British workers in Libya 'are fearing for their lives'

The Foreign Office has said a charter plane which was supposed to leave Gatwick for Libya to collect British nationals has developed a "minor technical fault" and has not left the UK.

The FCO says technicians are working to rectify the fault as quickly as possible.

It is thought there are around 300 UK citizens in the strife-torn country.

Julie O'Shea's father, Jim Coyle, is working for an oil company in the Libyan desert. She said the men in the compound with her father are ''fearing for their lives''.
