Lorimer: 'Operation having very real effect' in Libya

Major General John Lorimer has said there is evidence the enforcement of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1973, with a no-fly zone over Libya, is having ''a very real effect''.

The remarks were made at a Ministry of Defence briefing in London.

Despite a third night of coalition air strikes, the fighting in Libya is continuing on the ground.
