Britain's contribution to efforts by coalition forces to enforce a no-fly zone over Libya has been stepped up.
The operation to move British aircraft to a base in southern Italy ready for missions is nearly complete, after the arrival of about a dozen planes.
But whether Col Gaddafi is a target during the coalition air strikes in Libya is still unclear.
Newsnight's Jeremy Paxman, external tried to find out from the Foreign Office Minister Alistair Burt if the Libyan leader was a legitimate target of the military action.
