MPA Chief defends police at London protest
The government says it's "listening" but won't change its policy on spending cuts following Saturday's TUC led demonstration in central London.
Away from the main march, there were violent clashes between police and protesters which were finally broken up in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police said a total of 201 arrests had been made during the day.
There has been criticism that violent protests weren't dealt with effectively but the London's deputy mayor and chairman of the Metropolitan Police Authority, Kit Malthouse, insists they did a "good job".
