Royal wedding: William greets fans

Prince William has gone on an impromptu walkabout ahead of his wedding to Kate Middleton to meet royal watchers gathered near Buckingham Palace.

He spent several minutes shaking hands and chatting to fans in The Mall.

Earlier, the couple said they had been "incredibly moved" by the affection shown to them since they announced their engagement.
