UK troops face 'armoured vehicles shortages'

The National Audit Office has warned that British troops face "significant shortages" in armoured vehicles for at least 14 years without sustained additional investment.

The spending watchdog blamed "over-ambitious requirements and unstable financial planning" at the Ministry of Defence for a procurement process which managed to deliver only a "fraction" of the armoured vehicles it set out to buy.
