Ronald Reagan statue unveiled outside London's US embassy

A statue of former US President Ronald Reagan has been unveiled at a ceremony outside the American embassy in central London.

The 10-foot bronze statue was specially commissioned to "recognise Mr Reagan's contribution to ending the Cold War".

Members of the British Cabinet, including Foreign Secretary William Hague, attended the ceremony, along with the US Ambassador Louis B Susman and former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice.

The statue stands outside the embassy in Grosvenor Square, opposite the statue of President Dwight Eisenhower.
