Patrolling summer waters with coastal rescue services

It is the busiest time of year for coastal rescue services as thousands of holidaymakers hit the beaches and head out to sea.

The RNLI charity has volunteer lifeboat crews at 235 lifeboat stations and trained lifeguards at 163 lifeguarded beaches.
